Booting |
This tab offers a method to speed-up the process of booting Windows.
It defrags all files that are needed for booting the computer. Those files will be written on disk in one
stream so the reading takes less time than if the files would be scattered around the disk. This shortens
the process of booting.
Optimize Booting
To optimize the process of booting, choose the harddrive Windows is installed to. That is the drive which contains
the "Windows" directory.
Click on "Optimize Booting". You will receive a status message at the bottom of the window which tells you
if the optimization was successful.
Optimizing drives which do not contain the "Windows" directory does not speed-up booting.
